Hi there, I'm Maliha. I'm an illustrator from Karachi, now based in Toronto. My first book, "It's OK to Be Sad”, was published in 2022. Some of my recent projects include posters about unsafe public spaces and an illustration for Allen Ginsberg's poem Howl. I draw people, food, places, and everyday objects as well as ideas from my imagination, mostly making handmade pen & ink drawings and digital drawings. I also work with paint and pencil, lino prints, and animation. I love how drawings can show us both the silly and the serious parts of life, inviting us to slow down, pay attention, and think through big and small ideas in a way that feels open-ended and playful.
